Je ne connais personne qui ait été déçu du Vietnam. Nous voulions au départ tout parcourir, du nord au sud. Mais attention : le pays est immense, et le climat joue à l'envers. Hanoi en janvier, c'est l'hiver. Saigon au même moment, c'est l'été. Nous avons choisi le Sud.

Première découverte de ce pays doux, ancré dans une culture millénaire et d'une résilience à couper le souffle. Le Vietnam est un État communiste : la vie quotidienne des Vietnamiens peut être difficile, marquée par des conditions économiques dures. Et pourtant, partout, le sourire. Une dignité tranquille qui touche profondément.

Le Sud, c'est un voyage dans un voyage. De l'île sauvage de Phú Quốc aux marchés flottants de Can Tho, des hauts plateaux de Dà Lat à la capitale mondiale du café, jusqu'au tourbillon de Saigon. Chaque étape est un monde à part.

Pour ce voyage, nous avons été accompagnés par l'agence Parfum d'Automne, qui a tout organisé. Quel luxe de se laisser porter. We had originally planned to travel the whole country, north to south. But a word of warning: the country is vast, and the climate works in reverse. Hanoi in January is winter. Saigon at the same time is summer. We chose the South.

Our first discovery of this gentle country, deeply rooted in a thousand-year-old culture and of a breathtaking resilience. Vietnam is a communist state: daily life for the Vietnamese can be hard, shaped by difficult economic conditions. And yet, everywhere, the smile. A quiet dignity that touches you deeply.

The South is a journey within a journey. From the wild island of Phú Quốc to the floating markets of Can Tho, from the highlands of Dà Lat to the world capital of coffee, all the way to the whirlwind of Saigon. Each stop is a world apart.
