On y croit, forcément.
Pushkar opens like a breath. A sacred lake surrounded by 52 ghats, hundreds of white-faced temples, and that Rajasthan light that changes everything it touches.
It was our first day. And Rajasthan took us by surprise… powerful, immediate, without preamble.
You come here for Brahma… the only temple dedicated to him in all of India. Legend says it was here that lotus petals fell from his hands and created the lake. You believe it, inevitably.
High above, the Savitri temple watches over it all… reached by cable car, accompanied by mischievous monkeys, and from the top, Pushkar reveals itself in a single glance.
But you stay for something else. For the air, for the silence between two prayers, for the strange gentleness of this city that is not quite of this world.
