Le Mexique, c'est la destination parfaite… en duo, en famille, peu importe. On a adoré. J'ai peu de photos et de tips car je ne pensais pas faire un blog de voyage à l'époque, je n'avais pas pris mon appareil et oublié tant de bons restos…
Nous avions 10 jours et l'envie de tout voir. C'est trop court, forcément.
Voici notre circuit. Arrivée à Cancún, on loue une voiture et cap sur Holbox. Une île sans voiture, littéralement. Pas un moteur, pas un klaxon. Juste des carritos de golf, des vélos, du sable entre les pieds et une lumière qui rend tout irréel. Notre hôtel avait tout organisé pour nous accueillir depuis la traversée en bateau. On a pris le dernier bateau du soir.
De découvertes en tequila…
Départ pour Valladolid, ville coloniale tout en couleurs, pour rayonner vers Chichen Itza. Les pyramides, immenses et mystérieuses, qui surgissent de la jungle. Les cénotes ensuite : ces puits d'eau douce naturels cachés dans la forêt, où l'on plonge dans un bleu impossible.
On a terminé à Tulum. Tulum est cher, mais Tulum est beau.
Et une chose : évitez Playa del Carmen. Trop survolté, trop bruyant, ça n'a pas le charme du reste.Mexico is the perfect destination — as a couple, as a family, it doesn't matter. We loved it. We had 10 days and wanted to see everything. It's too short, inevitably.
Here's our route. We arrived in Cancún, rented a car and headed straight to Holbox. An island with no cars, literally. No engines, no horns. Just golf carts, bicycles, sand between your toes and a light that makes everything feel unreal. Our hotel had arranged everything to welcome us from the boat crossing. We took the last boat of the evening.
From discoveries to tequila…
Departure for Valladolid, a colourful colonial town, to explore Chichen Itza. The pyramids, immense and mysterious, rising out of the jungle. Then the cenotes: those natural freshwater sinkholes hidden in the forest, where you plunge into an impossible blue.
We ended in Tulum. Tulum is expensive, but Tulum is beautiful.
And one tip: avoid Playa del Carmen. Too hectic, too noisy — it doesn't have the charm of the rest.
